Very excited to share some of the materials that I worked on for Star Chamber. For crystal material breakdown, go check out my Crystal post.

This map gave me an opportunity to practice my rock, stone, and tile material skills. I worked with Eli Tuttle and Liam Macdonald on the terrain needs, and interpreting some broad stokes in our concepts. I gathered references of types of stone and soil, and cross checked with with our Art Director, Adrian Majkrzak, to hone in on the exact look for the stone and soil. We were also able to leverage the gravel material that I made for Robot Ruins for some of the terrain and decaling on this map.

Another material of note is the work I did on the central orange orb. We went through a number of iterations for what this orb could look like, and we ended up leaning into an early blue sky concept from Liam Macdonald. I then worked in tandem with Adam Alexander and Alan Flores on how they needed our materials built, and then creating full material sets or masks that were then applied to the mesh and tweaked by all of us.
