A demo of the wood gradient ramp for this map. I was able to give the team color options for the look of the wood, and this was also used to keep all wood the same color.
A demo of the concrete gradient ramp for our Tempest Watch concrete. Gave the artists options for look and feel, while allowing for all concrete to match in color without the need to author multiple color maps.
A selection of materials that I worked on for an unreleased map called Tempest Watch. I started out by working on the wood boardwalk and concrete materials, since these covered the majority of the ground in the level. I then moved onto making some carpets, of which, the arcade variant was my favorite to work on. I was inspired by the concepts, and voiced a desire to lead and create an arcade patterned carpet for the level. Our Art Director liked the idea, and here we have the result.
I then moved onto working on a wooden trim sheet, collaborating with Mak Malovic about the size of planks, which should be distressed, and how many wood ends to author. We worked back and forth, me authoring the materials in stages, and then Mak testing the material out and giving me feedback. We ended with a result that fit and worked for the map needs.
Other in level material work can be viewed on my main Tempest Watch post, and decal kit creation can be viewed on my Tempest Watch decal post.
